Labor Day is a transitional day/weekend. It reminds us of our labor for the kingdom, and how we’re sent into the fields where the harvest is ripe. This Labor Day weekend we will begin a new tradition, where we will open up the doors of the church to our neighbors, our friends and those that need a touch from the Lord in a community meal. We’ll transform the church into banquet seating, experience a one hour service, then dismiss right to a community feast of pulled pork, beans, salad, bratwurst, and sweet tea.
The event will have a country/western feel, and we’ll play great country music hits during our feast. More importantly however, is that your meal ticket(s) come with outreach tickets. A ticket to be given away to your neighbor, a friend, co-worker or family. Invite them to church, and enjoy a good meal together.
