Kevin Koons

Kevin Koons has been leading worship for the past 17 years in various churches throughout Sacramento and outlying areas.  He has been involved in worship ministry most of his life, as his parents were music ministers as well.  He traveled with music groups, played in various bands, as well as writing and recording music professionally. He is married to Christine, and they have 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren.  He currently resides in North Highlands, California and is employed with Center Joint Unified School District in the Facilities Maintenance Department.

Kevin enjoys many activities and hobbies.  Although music is his passion, he also enjoys boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, snow skiing, as well as restoring cars, boats and houses.  There is something about taking something that has been set aside as junk and bringing it back to life again by making it beautiful and useful. Kevin believes that is why God gave His Son for us, because he saw the beauty of who we can be, not the messed up people we’ve become.

Kevin dedicates himself to helping people connect with the Lord not only through worship music as stated in Col. 3:16 “teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” but also through life experiences, in both our successes and failures, to help others who are experiencing the same.

It is Kevin’s desire to use his giftedness and experiences to continue building a thriving worship team and provide a platform for people to connect with God. His heart is to connect with each person that walks through the door and truly do life together, as we continue to build God’s Kingdom here on earth.
