Pastor Ross’ greatest joy comes from serving God’s Kingdom. In his early years of ministry, Ross was trained and served as a Lay Pastor, a County Community Chaplain in Placer County CA. Also during those years, Ross served as Men’s Ministry Director and led Couples and Men’s Bible Studies. Through all the years and all the wonderful opportunities to serve the Lord, I have received great joy and blessings and just want to see God’s love played out in the lives of others.
Pastor Ross is a frequent speaker at the Pointe, often filling in for Pastor Ed. He and Cheryl have been married for 47 years and have two adult children: Kyle and Rachel and 4 grandchildren. When not serving at the Pointe, Pastor Ross enjoys working for Enterprise Rent A Car, Live Theater, Concerts, going to the Movies, fine dining, reading and spending time with Cheryl, family and close friends. Some might not know that Pastor Ross is a skilled writer, and has, for the past 25 years, authored a daily devotional called Living Life God’s Way.
For 25 years, Ross served in Executive positions with several multi-billion-dollar Retail and Wholesale Pharmaceutical Companies before his brief retirement.
Pastor Ross is an accomplished local businessman. In October 2002, Ross purchased 50% of All American Sweeping Company, Inc, a Commercial Parking Lot Sweeping and Janitorial company serving the greater Sacramento, CA area and served as President and CFO of that company for 12 years. Ross has served as a Board Member and Treasurer of Acres of Hope in Auburn CA. Acres of Hope is a Gospel based program for battered women and their children to restore them to a productive life. He has also been a member of the California State Men’s Pastors Committee and served on the National and Regional Roundtables and as a group leader for The Journey, a process to draw men into a more intimate relationship with Jesus.
Ross is also well traveled in ministry, having led international trips to Haiti six times in the past two decades. While living in Florida, Ross chaired the Board of Deacons, The Stewardship Committee, the Church Health Team, Church Board and sang in the choir before he and Cheryl were called to serve as Associate Pastors of Pastoral Care. After moving back to California as grandchildren began to arrive, Ross was called as Executive Pastor of The Pointe Church in Antelope CA until his retirement in 2017 and was called back into that position in January 2023.
